Welcome!

Sometimes kids want to learn more about their faith, but they don’t always know how. Church school is usually only one day a week. Sometimes parents don’t know how to encourage their kids to participate in the richness that is the Orthodox faith.

The Heavenly Host program helps to provide structure and positive reinforcement. Kids study on their own, or with their friends and family, while their parents encourage them and monitor their progress. Periodically the parish gathers and recognizes the kid’s achievements and presents them with pins to show what they’ve accomplished. This is the Heavenly Host program in a nutshell.

It’s initiated by the kids, monitored by the parents and supported by the parish!

What is the Orthodox Church?

“The Orthodox Christian Church is evangelical, but not Protestant.
It is orthodox, but not Jewish. It is catholic, but not Roman.
It is not denominational, it is pre-denominational.
It has believed, taught, preserved, defended, and died for the
Faith of the Apostles since the Day of Pentecost nearly 2,000 years ago.”
